PRINTING PROCESS

All photos offered as prints have been passionately post-processed to provide a print of the highest quality. The photos are printed on long-lasting archival quality paper with lustre finish, which combines the color saturation of gloss with the fingerprint resistance of matte.

If you are based in US or Canada your photo will be printed and framed via BayPhoto which consistently provides the highest possible quality prints and framing. As BayPhoto is based in USA (Scotts Valley, CA) you can leave the hassle of framing to the their framing experts as you will only be paying domestic shipping charges for the delivery of ready-to-hang products. All photos printed by BayPhoto are printed on Kodak Professional Endura Lustre paper. 

If you are based in Australia or anywhere else in the world your photo will be printed via PixelPerfect, a state-of-the-art print shop based in Sydney. I have been working with PixelPerfect for years and have always been amazed by the quality of their printing and framing services. Photos printed and framed in Australia are shipped via AusPost worldwide.  All photos printed by PixelPerfect are printed on Fuji Crystal Archive Lustre paper. 

FRAMING OPTIONS

During the checkout you can choose one of the following options. If you have specific requirements in terms of the type or color of the frame or sizing, please get in touch.

UNFRAMED PRINTS

Unframed prints are a great option if you want to save on worldwide shipping or if you want to have a full control over the framing, for example if you want to match framing to already existing prints. All unframed prints come with a white border around the image to allow for easier framing. Unframed print is also the most cost effective option if you are based outside Australia or USA as they are shipped for just $15 worldwide.

When posted they are wrapped in protective acid free paper and sent in a cylindrical mailing tube. 

ACRYLIC FACE MOUNT

Acrylic Face Mounts are super slick, borderless and stylish. The face of the print is mounted to a crystal clear 1/4" (6mm) thick acrylic sheet. The clarity and sparkle of the acrylic enhances the colours and vibrancy of the print. Aluminium subframe is used to float the print from the wall which makes them look absolutely stunning especially in larger sizes. 

WOODEN FRAME

Frames available through the online shop are elegant and stylish wooden frames which suits all images. They are available in two colours, black and with optional matting. The print is mounted behind high quality acrylic on a foam board and inserted into the frame. It is then finished with black paper backing and a wire hanger.

SIZES in details

UNFRAMED PRINTS

Unframed prints come with additional border for easier framing. The size of the border is calculated as 5% of the size of the photo. Please see the table below for the exact sizing.

ACRYLIC FACE MOUNT

Acrylic face mounts are printed from edge to edge and the size selected during the checkout is the same as the physical size of the framed print.

FRAMED PRINTS

Framed prints come be mounted with and without matting. For both options the size selected during the checkout is the inner size of the frame. Please note that matted prints are slightly cropped (as shown on the product pictures during the checkout or the examples below). The size of the mat is 1" ( ~25mm ) for 8x12 print and 2" ( ~50mm ) for larger prints.

The size of the frame is 1.125" ( ~3cm ). For example if you order a 24x36" framed print with a mat the final product will be roughly 26x38" (including the frame) and the actual size of the printed image will be 20x32". Prints without matting are mounted edge to egde and of the printed image is the same as the size selected during checkout. Please see the table below for the exact sizing.

As the wooden frame is always 1.125" (30mm) wide the relationship between the size of the printed image and the frame width will vary. Please see below for an example what will different sizes of wooden framed prints look like. Product images throughout the checkout are based on the 24 x 36″ print.
